Help me Please with AK
Ok I really have trouble with AK, sometimes I re raise, and they shove, and I get confused. Other times I will re raise, and the call, and I wiff the flop. So I want your imput here please.
Lets say your in .50/1 NL, and your 120BB deep with Villan and your in SB, and Villan is UTG. He raises to $4, and you raise to $18. He re raises to $40. Now what do you do. |

Re: Help me Please with AK
YOu certainly can't 3-bet any bigger. But no one can make a decision without the stats of the villain.

Re: Help me Please with AK
You can make arguments for all three depending on villain.
Nit= Fold LAG= Shove ...and anything in between. |

Re: Help me Please with AK
I'd usually 3bet all of the time even vs tight players unless they're ridic. nitty to a point where {22-TT,AQ,AJs,KQ} aren't in their UTG raising range. When he 4bets its all about reads and game flow. That being said, this is one of the spots where a 3bet and 4bet defines really narrow ranges so without any read you can definetely fold.

Re: Help me Please with AK
I 3-bet with AK from any position anytime. When he 4-bets it is read dependent. Sometimes I call, sometimes I fold. Versus an unknown IŽll fold.

Don't call, either shove or fold depending on the villain.

[/ QUOTE ] this is very bad. you shouldn't have rules like these. sometimes it is fun to flat call with AK as an agressive player. think about your flat calling range OOP say. pocket pairs are a massive part of a decent TAG's range. calling with AK every now and again is an excellent way of widening your calling range and is incredibly deceptive. you can c/r alot of flops, or c/c all the way when an agressive player is prone to double and triple barell |
