These posts rub me the wrong way when I don't see either player's whole cards, I've never been a fan of them.

pretty dry board otf. i'd be expecting bakes to have a set here, but as KingDan says not really a fan of the no hole cards posting much.

Is this the WCOOP 6-max? Does he know who you are? If not, what kind of reads might he have on you?

I think giving him a range of "sets" is really wrong, I love making this move on ppl.

I watched Bakes for a while last night and he pulled this with overpairs and OESDs. I don't think he has a set. I don't think he thinks DD has a Q.

Bakes doesn't have complete air. That's as much as you can narrow the range, IMO, unless there is very specific history between the two.

I wouldn't bet the turn unless you plan to call a shove. So as played I'd call, wouldn't be surprised to see 88 or some suited connector he turned into a bluff, occasionally a super FPS set or queen perhaps but even if he would occaisonally take this line with those hands it's gotta be less likely when the 3-straight turns. I'd prboably pussy out and check behind but I think bet/call is pretty sweet with JJ here.

I think it's fine. We establish that OP's range is not a queen or he has a really easy call (because he's getting tricky with TPTK+ on a dry flop v an aggro table captain). And that villain knows this. The question is whether villain assumes that OP will call with a strong second best hand and whether he is any more likely to call a smaller raise than a shove. As I said, hero is well behind or ahead but dodging outs with one card to come. I don't think villain ever shows up drawing to two outs here. And I think there will be times that hero is dead in the water simply because, in terms of calling ranges, if villain is going to cr, he may as well crai.
