Default Whats the deal with Party poker

I have never played at party or stars, and after reading all of the posts on these sites I am glad. All I hear is negative things about both of these sites. I have been playing on the internet for over 3 years and prefer the smaller sites. I have never had any problem. I cant see how party and stars are so big if they have so many complaints. The thing that really baffles me, is that most of the people who have something negative to say, still probably play there. Just my opinion

I spend about 8 hours a day reading 2p2.

I can count the number of legitimate complaints about PokerStars on one hand.

Don't put them in the same category.

And also, we play at Party because the most fish are there. If your interested in playing poker for a living, as alot of us do, it is more difficult to do without playing at either one.

I'll take your word for it, as I said i've never played there. To respond to your commentt on makinga living on those sites. I do just fine at the ones I play. I know I am just 1 person, but I see see no problem in making good money at the smaller sites. Alot of smaller sites have customers from online casinos, and these players are just there to gamble. There's more to a site than flashy advertising and number of players.

Yeah, and those sites MAY be spreading 5 higher limit games at once.

I don't care how soft a game is, I'd rather be playing 8 tables of donkified Party Poker than 1 table of WSEX card room.

My theory is, Party figured out how to attract a high fish/good player ratio (namely, by having a terribly run site that "only a moron" would play on) and then the good players started playing there because of all the fish. Absolutely brilliant plan.

This is changing now. The fish are no longer getting the reload bonuses to keep them around longer. The money is now being paid to the VIP players. The old system of doing reload bonuses and allowing rakeback was the perfect system for both low limit/volume players and high limit/volume players.

More customers = more complaints.

They get so many complaints because they're so big. It's not the other way around. People that are happy don't vocalize it. That's human nature.
