Villan in this hand is a relative unknown. seems a bit looseish, passiveish so far, but no solid read as of yet. no real history other than he has seen me 3 bet a few times and i have been active. What to do SSNL?

Without history I'd probably fold here. This might be a stupid move with JJ or a bluff with AK, but i guess this is KK+/Set way more often if he isn't tricky/aggro postflop.

I call and get it in on the river, people tend to overplay mediocre hands if you have been active.
Its still a nasty spot tho. |

Fwiw i rarely fold here but feel like i run into KK+ way to often.

He obviously wants to play for stacks so I expect to see KK+ here a lot. I would probably call on flop, and fold to agression on turn.

personally i used to call the flop and plan to re-eval in spots like this and i think it is absolutely horrible to do so. they are ALWAYS betting the turn here so make a decision on the flop about the hand.
wish we had more info about villain. at any rate i think it's very close between all in and fold but think i'd probably fold as his range has to be tilted towards KK+ |

I think I can find a fold; they tend to just call the flop with draws or Tx type hands.
Sometimes they are getting out of line with 55 though. I believe your reraise preflop is too big; it sets villain up to FU call you preflop and FU minraise you on the flop. Whereas otherwise they just play their own passive ways. So this is where reads come into play. |
