blind war against LAG: call, push, raise, what?
Losing player LAG has been betting out lots.
Blinds 60/120 Hero, SB (3300) DumbfuckLag, BB (6,115) Folds to hero who raises to 360 with Ac 10h, DumbfuckLag calls. Flop: Ks As Kc (pot 720) Hero checks, DumbfuckLAG bets 450, Hero pushes. Barry |

If he's dumb in such a way that he'll stack off with any A then of course this is good. Otherwise c/c, c/c, valuetown on river is good against someone who will hang himself given rope. Jarid ps - I enjoy the blatant distain you harbor for your opponents. |

Re: blind war against LAG: call, push, raise, what?
Jarid,
Mostly, I have blatant disdain for how I have been running in tournaments against plays that I find repulsive. It, in turn, fuels over to my opponents. It's a vicious cycle, really, and I'd rather be one of those sweet mouthed silent sharks who is all like "gg, I love you, I win, no, no, you played that hand swell." But, alas. Anyway, I'm not sure if c/c is good here, if a spade or a straight card comes, it could scare him off, I doubt he fires again here, and considering we chop aces (+ I think he calls with A9 or A8 here, but may fold lower ones), I think pushing here was best given the situation. He showed K9 here, lol. |

In this instance though you are probably right. Jarid |

Re: blind war against LAG: call, push, raise, what?
dunno...I'm not a psycho lag but I lead with the same if I have a K here too...pushing over the top seems a bit much and dicey...just put in a nice size raise and see how it plays out?

[/ QUOTE ] made me laugh, i find myself doing this lately... like when I four bet kings and bust a guys that calls with AT and goes broke on a ten high flop. "gg, what a cooler, AT is usually good there." |

Are you trying to get AQ/AJ to fold?
Otherwise I really hate the shove. Smooth call the flop. I like everything else. |

fwiw, AQ/AJ reraises here almost 100% of the time based on his style.

What card(s) are you afraid of on the turn? I think the answer to those questions shows why the shove is bad. |
