Corrupt Harddisk - What can I use to boot / repair it?
I've been given a laptop with a dodgy hard disk, it won't boot.. stops with a hal.dll is missing message.
What program could I use to create a suitable bootable CD so I can scan & fix it. I had a superboot disk before with a bunch of tools on it but my mate f'ing lost it!! |

What operating system is it running? XP?
My advice would be to reformat and reinstall no matter what OS it's running. |
