Re: NL 100 deep, tough spot w JJ
I just flat call the flop here and see what he does on the turn. I think this is a WA/WB situation most of the time.

Unless the HH is f'ed, you're not 3-betting but the villain is? But assuming you're Hero, you can beat about AT and that's it. QQ+, TT, 88, 33, T8 have you in bad shape.

Re: NL 100 deep, tough spot w JJ
Just call the flop.
Id prolly fold to the shove this deep but its a weird board to take a line like that w/ hands >JJ. A slowplayed AA/KK wouldnt surprise me though. |

I would have 3-bet pre-flop. As played I think the reraise is fine, your in position. I would fold to his shove.

Re: NL 100 deep, tough spot w JJ
wtf at stack sizes - BB has 178 to start but then shoves for 182 on the flop?!?! whats goin on?
anyway assuming hero actually is button: ugh, just call flop. hardly any value in raising. as played this an easy fold. calling off 180bb's more with a weakish overpair on this board is pretty bad. villain has a set soooo often. there are like 0 players at 100NL who shove bet/shove J9/79 this deep after you raise the flop on this dry board |

Re: NL 100 deep, tough spot w JJ
Calling flop is OK. Minraising flop is better than raising large. He's rarely 3-betting with a worse hand. Also, minraising keeps Tx/8x/3x/PP in the hand, whereas raising large can get those hands to fold since you are repping an overpair.
Certainly fold to the AI. |
