ring game at borg, i'm in bb with T8s, with around 7k behind.
around 5 limpers to the flop, i check my option. flop 569 two spades. i check, EP bets 200, LP calls, i make it 900 to go, EP folds, LP calls. (i ask how much LP is playing, and LP has around my stack at the start of the hand. LP is an old guy, who is playing with just cash, apparently he likes having cash cause he didn't buy another players chips when offered.) turn 4d. i bet 2500 standard? |

rebuy preflop to 20k, i know there are guys deeper than you have an edge on, and you won 1m in a tournament, srsly

i'd prefer to c/r again than to lead out this turn. i dont really think you want to get a lot of money in yet against this guy.
and flop would be better as a bet-3bet, i think. once i checked i'd probably just call. |

Was thinking b/3b was superior as well and allows for better options on the turn.

does villain ever fold if we check raise turn here? i don't really see a hand that villain bets on turn that folds to a c/r

I think you can get weaker live players to fold low sets here, and anything weaker that they bet will become "oh balls he just trapped me" and will instafold. Theres definitely a reasonable chance that he'll spaz out and bet the turn with some nonsense, probably. of course i'm not saying that i really like a c/r that much, i just think its better than leading again, mainly because many times it'll check through and then you can play the river pretty well without a massive pot. |

That is the key to the c/r option. It is also the reason a lead-->3/b is best as it allows for the turn to be checked through that much more often (yet still allows for you to dbl barrel or even c/r if you choose). |
