Default 54s vs. Reg

Villan is a semi-reg, not on there as much as others. He plays a laggy game, I have him at 31/17/2 over a decent sample. Looking at some of these hands in PT, he seems okay and not TOO retarded. Hero should be playing TAG and not really out of line.

I hate folding to river check-raises. I mean, wtf could he have here? Q9? Any other boat and he surely would have raised earlier. Waiting until the river to raise a better flush seems bizarre. He could be deciding it's time to turn 66 into a bluff, or hit his J8 and doesn't think you have a flush, or 87 whiffed. Not to mention that you only need to be good 1 in 4.5 times.

Given his weak flop lead and the fact that his hand doesn't look like a flush, I like J8 and 87 a lot.

Hero has played his hand really strong. Can't see how this is a bluff or an overplayed straight on a paired/flushed board 22%.

Hero also played it like any boat and flush. Tons of combos. AA/KK are 12. Can't see how he's check/raising worse for value.

you have to weight his hands - obviously AA/KK show up much more often here than 54s

Since there are only 2 hands that make sense that beat you (Q9 and T9), and TONS of other hands that you beat I would call.

I think this hand comes down to the read of the opponent. The better he plays (and by better I mean less moronic) the more often we are dead here.
