Re: $3/6 NLO8 2345 flop 2 pair w. big flop bet
I guess his range here is mostly AAxx AA4x KKxx A4Kx AKK4
i tried to write out my analysis a few times, but you might be in a really bad reverse-implied odds hand now. for example, say you call his flop bet, you fill in on the turn, and he open pushes (fairly likely). are you calling? what about if a blank peels off? unless an ace comes, you're not going to know where you're at. i usually push here with your type of 2 way hand, but hey i never claim to play well. the best way for me to describe your scenario is a straightforward gamble. against a donk like Zolotow an overbet is almost always topset, against better players a low wrap is just as likely. |

Re: $3/6 NLO8 2345 flop 2 pair w. big flop bet
I think you should fold. You're behind to KKxx (which actually surprises me, but the lack of backup for your low dents your equity I guess), behind to A4Kx, way behind to A4KK, way behind to AK35, and so on. So pushing seems bad unless you think Zolotow is going to fold here a significant part of the time, which seems unlikely to me.
You do have position if you peel, so it's possible that you can bet a scare card like a 4 and steal the pot. Seems kind of risky though. |
