I play it the same way except:

I sometimes fire again on turn (dependent on reads)
I bet closer to 17-18 on the river
I call river

I like the turn check. I bet a bit more on the river. Like 13-14. Call the riv raise, you only need to be good 17%.

Why do you like a turn check? Isn't this board ideal for a 2nd barrel or do we need more info on villain before 2nd barreling?

I dont like to double barrel unknowns. People usually call down with PP's pretty lightly on paired boards.

No this is far from an ideal situation to 2nd barrel, that 2 on the turn didn't change things much so if he thought he was ahead on the flop he's not likely to have changed his mind by the turn. Admittedly there's quite a lot weak players peeling this flop with low PPs or even AT+ with the intention of folding the turn, but without a read I think we're too likely to get called on this turn to 2nd barrel vs an unknown.

I call this. I do see fish make this river check-minraise without much, when hero's line looks FOS. If you had bet the turn and then he did this though, he probably has a monster

In my experience I very rarely see people c/r river without a hand.. What do you put him on that I beat?

I see players c/minraise rivers often when you shown weakness earlier in the hand. If you had bet the turn and gotten c/raised on the river it would be a completely different thing, this c/minraise is rather small.

Point being you're showing weakness on the turn and are betting the weak on the river, this min-raise can come from a worse A or even a complete bluff. I've seen it often enough to believe you're easily ahead 17% here.

He almost definitely has an Ace.

Plus a small % of the time it's air.

Easy call.
