Default Flopped a set - Way ahead or get out now?

Commerce 4/8. Many pots are being raised and table has been very laggy. People are calling 2sb+ on the flop with any chance of making a hand, and raising with top pair or better. Both villains have raised light on past hands, but are thinking players.

Hero is dealt 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in UTG +1. Villain 1 raises UTG, Hero calls 2 (I knew this would be a multiway pot based on past action), Villain 2 in MP1 calls, 3 others players and BB all call. 7 to the flop for 14sb

Flop is Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Villian 1 bets, Hero calls, Villain 2 raises, 2 calls, Villain 1 calls, Hero 3-bets, Villain 2 caps, everyone calls.

17bb - Turn is A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Villain 1 donks, Hero has a bad feeling and calls, Villain 2 raises, 1 cold caller, Villain 1 3 bets, Hero??

Fold preflop.

Since you called ... I'd just go ahead and raise/cap the flop.

On the turn I hope you aren't seriously considering folding in this monster pot against these lags. Just call down. These villains can easily have 2 pair here. No way am I folding.

Don’t cold call a raise with 44 preflop in early position. You should fold.

On the flop, just raise instead of call/3-bet line, and cap if it comes back to you.

On the turn, just keeping calling. It is not clear anyone has a straight yet, though they are all trying to represent one.

You are either going to lose a lot of money or win a huge amount on this pot. Playing with several LAGs like this is high variance.

How many people fold a pocket pair preflop in this spot knowing that the table is laggy and that it will be 6+ players preflop?

Me.

As for the hand in question, you have to call down unless the river is insanely ugly, and even then, calling one bet is probably required. If a K or a T hits the felt, you might be able to fold for a raise. Otherwise, this is showdown monkey time.
