No way. >90% he has a straight on the turn and he couldn't have filled up with a K/8 in his hand. Problem is he probably doesn't want to fold it. I don't know.. marginal spot.

Not if he fears AK

Kratz, you've got bigger ones than me to break this out first hand of HU.

1st hand is usually a bad spot to run a big bluff. i think people are more averse of small losses when they start a session so the likelihood of getting called is bigger here.

really dont like this...

he def could have filled up with action, and chances are he doesn't have straight, unless it's ass-end, in which case a smaller bet would do the trick

Hate it, if you wanna bet river bet less, I think it's much better for balance

Wow, I read this hand and instantly loved it. All too often this bet is the mutha f'ng nutz. I like it more if you plan on playing with this guy for a 'session' since this hand will have serious meta implications (win or lose) that you need to capitalize on. The fact that he is only 1 buy in deep makes me like it more. Good spot to get frisky on. 100% think the overbet shove was the proper move also.

*As your opponents time spent HU at your table decreases, so does the value of this play though.
