Default 10NL, flopped set gets c/r\'d on turn

Please tell me what to do here on the turn. I am seriously concerned that check raiser has 7-5 and got there on me here. Comments on all streets please. Should I have raised pf? I felt it unwarranted out of position multiway here, but I may be wrong. The poster gives me added incentive to do so, but table is loose and I dont feel raising will take pot down pf. Feel free to berate my undersized flop bet, but I know that was a mistake. I was foolishy trying to encourage action when I knew I was gonna get it anyway. My standard bet here is about .45-pot. I suck at poker. Villains sample size is too small, so no reads. I am getting 1.65-1 to call turn shove, definitely insufficient if my read is correct.

Make it $0.80 preflop.

On the turn aren't you you are calling $6 to win $12? Still you don't have odds to call if he only has 75. Are 66, 44, 64, 86 in his range? AJ or KJ??? AA????? Yuck.

Pre-flop depends on the player, some will raise it others wont. It all depends on what you prefer yourself and the table. If table is very loose and has been calling alot of raises i'd check here.

Turn's a definite call for me.

I see your point. Ive never encountered this opponent before so I have no PT numbers. I have a general read on him though because Id been sitting with him here for a while. Obviously my read here is general and prone to error so perhaps putting him on exactly 7-5 is way too narrow. I dont think overpairs are in his range here because he would have raised pf and flop.

Call the turn, I think. He could well have a random "2pair from the blinds" kind of hand, he's probably not got JJ as most people NL10ers would raise that PF.

I think on the turn, before you bet, you need to decide if you're willing to get AI or not, or so my new book tells me =)

Edit: Even if he did flop a lucky straight then you've still got outs to a full/quads, and chances are he probably didn't anyway.

Raise preflop. Most TAG players have too narrow a raising range from the blinds.

Also consider this:

I call here, if he has the straight good for him. He also has 66, 9T, AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, QQ-AA, J8, 68, 67, 89, etc.

If you had a read on him as a good TAG, you could narrow that range a bunch. But you don't so you can't.

If you fold the turn you should quit poker.
