Default Borodog for Mod

Making him mod of anything would increase the value of this site, but Politics is obv...(since we don't have sub groups of swing dance or astrophysics yet)

This trial balloon has been floated and popped already.

False. That thread didn't end with it being decided that Borodog wasn't mod-worthy, it ended with Mat locking it because you derailed it.

EDIT: and Borodog is like one of my favorite posters on this site, although I can't speak to his behavior in Politics to know whether his modding of that forum would be a net positive.

I have already communicated my platform to iron:

I will fix broken quote tags.

That's it.

However, iron fears a coup. Given that he is the Prince of Politics, I think such Machiavellian fears are not unjustified. He has no way of knowing that I won't pour poison in his ear once I've secured my position. It's not paranoia if I'm really out to get him, now is it?

Bwahahaha!

When Iron turned green, Vulture was greenified also. Vulture is now gone and there is imbalance in the force.

Well, I would really like to be a mod. I really would. But there's really no need, seeing as iron is pretty much rocking Politics these days.

Except, of course, that Copernicus has promised to stop posting if I am made. Which is reason enough.

He's smart, well spoken, high volume and often high content. He's also pretty hot headed and pig headed, and liable to do things on a whim, which makes this a clear no I think.

If politics needs another mod (which it doesn't seem to these days), why not choose a politer and more open minded poster? If you contrast someone like andyfox with Borodog, his potential flaws as mod become very apparent.

andyfox reads in threaded mode. Finding that out was worse than Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Milli Vanilli combined.

I don't believe it.

I'd support Borodog as a mod of one of the non-serious forums, like OOT or LoL. He gets a little too excited and partial elsewhere.
