Is turn spew already or only the river bet? |

yuck. Fold preflop, and definitely don't bet the turn. Tx is never folding, and any heart draws just got there.

Consider 3 betting your hand pf. A read would help. You're five-handed, has he opened up his early position raising range at all (that sort of thing)?
As played, I give up after he calls the flop check-raise. |

It's not a check-raise, Hero has position.
So should I by default either 3bet or give up AJo in position pf? |

I play big and medium pockets against aggro monkeys like villain did all the time. Some people just cant stop bluffing on paired boards.

Against your typical UTG player with typical stacks I fold AJo as the typical range is any PP, AK-AQ, KQs, AJs + some connectors or not (usually down to like 65s)
Hand 0: 42.630% 41.21% 01.42% 1083945996 37271658.00 { AJo } Hand 1: 57.370% 55.95% 01.42% 1471609632 37271658.00 { 22+, AJs+, KQs, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, 65s, AQo+ } You could argue that the equity is good enough concidering the fact that we have position but personally I'm too bad a player to play AJo good enough to make it worthwhile. It's the win small/lose big kind of hand vs that range. If you have a read that that particular player plays Ax from UTG etc. things change obviousely ---- As played, without any specific reads I give up after he calls the raise |

I would give up calling UTG raises w/ easily dominated offsuit hands if this is the result.

preflop is fine. AJ does pretty well vs an UTG raising range 5 handed, but not so well against a range for calling a 3-bet at this level. Give up after the turn though he's clearly not folding. Honestly i like calling the flop better since you're ahead quite a bit.
