Default First 10k hands.. Am I a winning player or too early to tell?

My first 10k hands at NL10 are below. I have included poker tracker stats. I welcome any and all criticism. I think I have finally learned to limit my stupid calls/monkey tilt when I know I am beat to limit my variance. I feel like I have a much better "feel" for the game than I did 1 month ago.

Does anybody have any critiques? Calling too much? not raising enough? Too passive? Too aggressive?

Thanks.

What exactly will the STD Dev tell about your play? What should he be looking for there?

Please post your positional stats. try stealing more blinds when folded to you. Your preflop raise is a little low. are you limping pocket pairs/suited connectors ? Also, read pokey`s post regarding PT. It`s in the stickies.

But good work so far. Stats are not everything ...

Gap between volume in pot and PFR is too large. Attempt to steal not big enough. (My PFR is bigger than your attempt to steal.) I think turn and river aggression is too high.

Post position stats.

Start reading the stickies. Read Tien's 6max starting guide and study EVERYTHING said in the thread. Read Pokeys guide to blind stealing. Find some threads dealing with positional stats (pokeys pokertacker guide might do). Find a thread on AF by streets (to aggro for $10NL here).

Study and play. Rinse and repeat.

Thanks everybody for the encouragement and insights. I'll do a bit more studying and practicing and post my results in another 10-20k hands or so.

I'm no expert, but the first thing I noticed was the almost 11% gap between VP$P and PFR. I think that's way too big. Also, many disagree, but I believe it is more profitable to play a bit more nitty at 10NL. Players are so bad, just wait for the good hands; keep it simple.

I'm sure someone else can help you far more than I can.

I definitely disagree that it's more profitable. It may be easier, but it's not more profitable.

OP - your attempt to steal blinds is really low. This means you are missing out on +EV situations OTB and CO where you can pick up the blinds with weaker hands. FWIW, I typically open-raise all suited connectors, all suited 1 gappers, all broadway, all PPs, A-x, and a variety of other random junk against the right villains and my attempt to steal is ~ 35%.

10k Hands is too few. I *think* the general concensus is 50k+ hands.

Your PT BB/100 is low. We want to be at 5-10, especially at 10NL. You and I are about the same, and it is too low.

Your AF's look good.

Your pf raise is too low. It should be closer to your VPIP.

Also, see if anyone can give you feedback on Att. to Steal Blinds - I think it is low (I am at 30, which I think is too high, but I am really not sure what the rule of thumb is).

Two things would help people to better analyze your abilities - posting hands and posting positional stats.

Good luck!
