Actual earning from ftp rakeback
Hi i'd like to know from anybody who plays 1/2 limit Shorthand at FTP what your actual earnings are? How many tables u play and average how many hours a day. I know there is a calculator for this kind of stuff but i'd like some real numbers. I just started playing there and still clearing my bonus with rakeback so i'd like a good idea what i can expect when i'm done with the bonus.

Re: Actual earning from ftp rakeback
Play 3-4 tables for two hours a day will bring around $600 a month.

Re: Actual earning from ftp rakeback
are those your real amounts or is that from calculator. The reason i ask is because i want to know if the rakeback calculator is over estimating or not. I just cleared my bonus today and i guess i can find out in a couple days what my daily average would be.

Re: Actual earning from ftp rakeback
Hey LanXang
The average rake on a full table of 1/2 Limit Shorthand (at time of writing) was $10 (average of 6 full tables). So the average rake is $0.50 Then use the following formula (from our site) Number of hands per hour = A Average rake = (Average Pot size x 5% (up to a maximum of 3$) = B Number of players per table = C Number of hours you play a day = D Number of days you play a month = E Number of tables you play at once = F Total rake you pay a month = (AxBxDxExF) divided by C In your case B = 0.50 and C = 6 Also you will be earning some rakeback as you are clearing your bonus. The FT bonus is released in chunks as you earn it. The bonus is deducted from the rake by Full Tilt (along with other deductions) before they calculate the rakeback. In general a player will generate more rake in clearing the bonus than the actual value of the bonus and so will receive rakeback on the balance. For example in any given month a player might earn $140 in bonuses (from the possible $600) They might have raked $220 to clear the bonus (and no other charges) Therefore they will get the $140 bonus from Full Tilt And also they will get 27% of $80 ($220-$140) or $21.6 in rakeback. But it is always better to get rakeback + bonus, rather than just rakeback….even if the bonus is deducted from your rake. Here's a quick example of why. Let's say you sign up and rake $1,000 in your first month. Let's also assume you get a $300 bonus Your net rake is $700 Let's assume for ease you are on 30% rakeback You will get $210 (30% of $700) back Plus you got the $300 bonus Total comp is $510 (effectively 51% rakeback on your $1000) Now let's assume you play the same amount without a bonus. Bonus = 0 Net rake = $1000 Rakeback at 30% = $300 Total Comp = $300 Effective 30% rakeback on your $1000 Instantly you can see that it is better to have rakeback + bonus rather than just rakeback. I hope that helps? Kind regards RakeTheRake |

Re: Actual earning from ftp rakeback
Yes it helps very much. I always thought the calculator would be using the higher ends of the numbers instead of averages. I wished i found out about rakeback a long long time ago. Been playing for awhile without anything. Just seemed to good to be true. Its like free money even though its really not but you know what I mean. Do you think they would ever stop rakeback? Is this thing here to stay?
