Re: 2nl KK faces donk donk donk
I think his turn bet was pretty weak and I'll just reraise him pot again. If he called and donk again I'll probably just call because i have no balls.

Re: 2nl KK faces donk donk donk
typical 1c/2c game.make a big raise on the flop and then he/she leads in 2 u with a weak bet on the next street.how i play it depends if i'm drunk or not. if i'm drunk i usually shove or at least make a big raise. if i'm sober a lot of times i call down b/c sometimes these idoits have the goods.

Re: 2nl KK faces donk donk donk
Nice raise on the flop, you have to raise again on the turn and river though (river may play different of course if you raised the turn).
I play 2NL and see the follow-up donk bet on the turn all the time when their flop donk bet was raised just as you did. These small bets mean Villain trying to draw cheap at least half the time or better. You should be looking to get Villain's stack in the middle with KK on this board, you can't just call those weak bets, if he's got a set, then so be it, you got coolered. You lost a lot of value on this hand on the turn and river. |

I completely agree. You should be pushing with the KK on the turn, trying to get his stack in the middle.

I like a bigger pf raise at this level, don't wanna play KK 4-way

Re: 2nl KK faces donk donk donk
So no one ever finds a fold, even 4 ways with the really dry board? How about a bigger flop raise, maybe pot and a half? I could see myself folding to a push after an overbet like that. I agree that seeing a flop 4 ways sucks, but I've experimented with the bigger preflop raises from EP but it seems to get no action, or the typical string of 'zomg i've got pot odds' calls, which really does me no good because i cant narrow ranges on the last couple callers at all. Maybe this is completely results oriented, but I gave the guy way more than the needed ~12:1 on his set.

i usually get worried when people are oblivious to my raises and just keep going with their stupid little bets.

Re: 2nl KK faces donk donk donk
When I played at this level I usually made my pf-raises 5-6bb plus 1bb/limper and got the pots hu or at least 3-way a fair amount of the time.
I agree with ppl saying that you should play for stacks. The donk-bets are very often draws or mediocre hands trying to get a cheap draw/showdown. I've come across some ppl who do this with their big hands. You've found one, make a note. But generally I think you're good here. |
