Laptop max-resolution
I may be a search-tard, but I couldn't find anything about this subject recently and was hoping that someone knew the answer to this simple question.
I'm thinking about buying a lap for playing poker. I wouldn't use it for anything else, and as such I have pretty much one criteria to evaluate when choosing a laptop - screen resolution. That said, of course I'm interested in the other usual suspects like battery life, performance, weight, etc., but mostly I want the highest resolution I can get for the least $$$. So can anyone tell me what brands and models to check for the best laptop resolution? |

Dell E1705 [/ QUOTE ] Outside the US, this is an Inspiron 9400. They're great - 17" at 1920x1200. |

Re: Laptop max-resolution
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_Inspiron seems to suggest that it was replaced by the Inspiron 1720/1721

Re: Laptop max-resolution
Buy the Dell Vostro 1700. It is very similar to the Insprion 9400 (which Dell stopped making), but has a few extra special features like 4 to 5 hour battery life (vs. 2.5 for the 9400), two hard drive bays instead of one, full-size keyboard with number pad, and wifi finder built in. Also it looks a lot better (all black instead of that late-90s two-tone color scheme). You can order the Vostro through the small business section of Dell's website (you don't have to be a small business to place the order).
