FT Second Chance
I'm curious to know how others would play this hand. This is the final table of the second chance on Stars. Chipleader/Villain has been playing very LAG. He's been raising garbage, and playing his stack.
After he minraised me, I knew that he is likely doing this with air, so I decided to flat call and give him rope to hang himself. Should I have reraised? Is there any way I can get away from this hand? Re: FT Second Chance
We know he's minraising a UTG raise with air?

Re: FT Second Chance
I knew there was a high probability he was doing this with any 2. He was raising/reraising with garbage for awhile.

Re: FT Second Chance
where's the part where you give him rope to hang himself, the flop checkraise or the turn shove?
This looks fine and is probably +EV (I mean, you have QQ vs a crazy bluffy guy, anything you do is +EV). But it can't be the most ev line, cEV or $EV. There's no way you can say he only has air (a lot of air, fine, but even literally any 2 includes hands that beat you and hands that you beat but that are valuebetting), and based on description he can have JJ, AT, whatever, so I guess you have a value bet, but you'd probably be better off actually giving him rope to hang himself those times he does have air. Versus a range of {KK+,TT, bluff, JJ, AT, other pairs} from a bluffy guy w/ chiplead, there's not much that you beat that calls your bet(s) but doesn't bet, and you lose a lot of value by taking away his ability to bluff. Small flop bet screws things up a little, so I see why you checkraised; an overcard makes the turn/river harder to play and you'd like to get value from smaller pairs/T. But you make it harder for him to bluff; now he has to float you, you have to check,... if you checkcall, check his turn range includes way more bluffs. Also, given the stack situation, your $ev is significantly greater with a lower variance line - you should be fine with him letting you get to showdown for less than your stack, which is unlikely but at least possible given the flop bet size. |

We know he's minraising a UTG raise with air? [/ QUOTE ] It's like you read my mind. I mean i've seen some guys who are clearly abusing their stack in my day, and i've seen guys 3 bet an utg raiser light, but min reraising the utg raiser with air i haven't seen before. Ever. |

Re: FT Second Chance
But you still call pf, flop and then stack off, right?
