Due to the fact that I had to cashout big (and a downswing as well...) I decided to start all-over with SNGs only. I left $55 in my BR with which I plan to play the $0.50+$0.05 SNGs at Everest. I will move up to the next limit as soon as I have 100 buy-ins for the next limit.
I haven't played that many SNGs until now and I was wondering if someone can tell me where to find good literature. I know that my goal seems to be boring for the high-rollers, but I'm playing just for fun and if I can buy things like a new computer monitor or pay my car-repair bill with poker money I am satisfied. If I could I would have left $300 in my BR for playing NL10, but that wasn't possible. Now I hope to run good in the micro-SNGs to rebuild my BR. |

i only started out with 25 buyins at the 6.50, play isnt great and i think anybody who can play sngs can beat, 100 bi`s is too many for micro sngs

The new 2+2 book on SnG by Colin is really good for you if you start.
+ Everest is the better place to start (been there, done that ) |

Why is Everest better? Is it weaker than Pokerstars at the lower sng level? I usually play $3 to $5 at PS with reasonable success.

It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy weaker + they have tons of microlimits with 10% rake (it starts at 0.10 + 0.01$).

Yeah Everest is a great place to begin, I started my bankroll there on a free $0.01 table.
I'd suggest just looking around for information online. Besides the information you can dig up on these forums there are plenty of articles on basic strategy around, I would suggest something like http://www.donkeydevastation.com/sit...trategy-guide/ Good luck building your BR up, I think you can learn a lot and get a feel for the game just by playing a lot of micro sngs. |

Get the SNG book as mentioned above as it will lay out the basics very well. Then I'd get SNG wiz and play a ton and really study ICM and the difference between cEV and $EV.

somehow I think I'm running way too good... remember: I play these with 100 buy-ins...
$0.50 +$.05 played: 24 1st: 5 2nd: 7 3rd: 3 Bubble: 4 early: 5 compared to the challenge I started a few months ago but lost my interest in: 0.50$ + 0.05$ played: 91 1st: 15 2nd: 10 3rd: 16 bubble: 7 early: 43 |

100 buyins is way too much, espeically at the fish factory known as Everest. If anything, this is one place on the internet where you can actually get by UNDERROLLED so long as you have the discipline to move down when you run bad.

100 buyin is much..
For you (very disciplined with bank) 30-50 buyin is very well in micro limits |
