Which book(s) for $5/10 limit online?
Just getting back into poker after a long hiatus. Last time I read the forums, $5/10 online was considered on par with $10/20 live. Is this still the case? Should I read a middle limit book for this level? Seems like the transition between 3/6 and 5/10 is where raising and reraising every hand starts popping up. I have no problems making $ at 3/6 and under on Stars. But maybe that's just Stars, I dunno.
Is SSHE, ITH, etc recommended for $5/10 online, or should I read those along with something else? Thanks. |

Re: Which book(s) for $5/10 limit online?
You can try 2+2's new limit hold'em book Winning in Tough Hold'em Games.
Keep two things in mind, though: There are a lot of on-line pros making their living multi-tabling in the 3/6 & 5/10 range. Also, since the UIGEA there are a lot less fish playing, making the games tougher over-all. |

10/20 live is alot easier than 5/10 online.

Alright thx for the heads up. I'll check out that book at the local store today.
So I guess 3/6 is already equivalent to middle limit live? Yikes. |

About to head out in an hour or 2 to pick up some books. B&N closes at midnight out here
Any other recommendations besides the Stox book? Again, anything that would immediately help with the transition from 3/6 to 5/10 online would be greatly appreciated |

Re: Which book(s) for $5/10 limit online?
Read ITH. The hand examples are relevant.
Generally speaking, live plays about 10 times easier than online. Actually that doesn't even help much. For some tight sites like PokerStars, .50/1 is like $10/20 live. Actually 10/20 live is easier than some of those games. A lot depends on how many tight multitablers you run into. You will find the occasional fish at $3/6 or higher online, but a lot of those players just want to make money. Live, a lot of those players just want to gamble and have some fun. |

Wait a minute...
.50/$1 is like 10/20 live? Jesus Christ. Guess things have really changed since I played a few years ago. |

[/ QUOTE ] There really isn't the kind of loose money in online limit games that there was, say, 3-4 years ago. Some .10 - .20 cent online games that I've played in are tougher than live $10-$20, though most are about the same and a few are easier. It isn't rare to see it though. |
