Dealing cards if player isn\'t seated yet?
Hi,
I'm playing at a home league tournament game every Sunday. Due to other engagements some players arrive later, and till then their blinds get “robbed”. Now we keep dealing out cards for those empty seats (with stakes). I know that you have to deal cards to those players who made a site-out, but what about those guys who haven’t been seated yet? |

Yes, you deal them in and muck them when it is their action.

That's how we are doing it, but I was watching the Aussie-Millions lately and the didn’t deal any cards to a late arriver till he was seated…

Also, for home games, bending the rules when you KNOW they won't be there, and saving dealing the two cards when they aren't posting blinds, is fine imo. If there's any chance they'll appear in the middle of a deal, then you have to deal them the cards. |

If you know they're arriving, set up chips, deal cards, take blinds.
If it's a late arrival or alternate, someone you didn't know was for sure arriving, remove what the person would have missed in blinds from the starting stack. |
