Default $114: Good spot for an action limp?

Big stack in BB is solid and aggressive. Do you think this is a good time for an action limp, or do you like just raising it?

the bb porbably knows you so he is gonna proceed with extreme caution if you limp.

what is your read on sb/button. i assume you are thinking of limping to encourage one of these guys to raise/push preflop? i think stacks are pretty good for this.

if they fold and you give the bb a free flop you probably take the pot down with a 275 chip flop bet. i doubt a solid bb would ever play back at you postflop with a hand that you beat.

i've never action limped here but i like it. a preflop raise to 2.5x is gonna fold out a lot of stuff that a laggy button/sb might push if you limp (assuming they are not very good)...

What about just shoving? JJ is really strong but doesn't allow BB to play back at us.

I really like this. You're basically HU against the BB. What would you do if you were SB here?

Really? I hate this. Why risk 20bbs with JJ on the bubble. Do we suspect BB pushing any 2 when we raise? If he is we are raising too much or he is making a mistake.

So, when you "standard raise" in a $114 against a solid/aggressive regular, what do you do when the big stack shoves? Insta-call?

Darin,
did you see the bb = 200? i think we are deep for this.

also, if i open raise to 500 (which would be my standard) i am calling a push from the bb, especially given the action last hand. if i limp and bb raises to 700, then i push.

Mis read last night. Thought we we're on button. I like a standard raise unless we really know he's repushing on us hard. However, I guess if we know he's repushing real light we might be able to call.
