Default David Boston: DWB (Driving While Black)

Partial video of field sobriety tests here: link to video

Seems obvious to me that this officer is just a douche. He clearly is not drunk or stoned in the slightest, and doing his best to keep his cool while this assbag tries to make him look like a fool.

OP neglects to mention he was passed out in his car in a driving lane with the engine running.

The suspicion was not alcohol, but drugs. I agree he looks just fine in the video which is what makes this so baffling, but OP is not giving the full story.

Also he said he was coming from practice and going to the airport but the airport is right by the practice facility and he was a good 15-20 mins away.

That's what they claim he said. But if a picture is worth a thousand words, then this video is worth a billion. The guy is fine.

If the officer thought Boston was on something, he should have given him a urine/blood test. Boston agreed he would. EDIT: Didn't get to the end of the video yet.. oh well, the officer should have taken Boston up on his offer right away if he really suspected something.

I'm not a FL lawyer or anything, but I can't find where it says you MUST submit to physical field sobriety tests. It does state that you can't refuse a blood/urine/breath test... so it seems odd that the physical test section doesn't mention that.

From a FL lawyer's website:
"Field Sobriety Tests are considered voluntary in the state of Florida, which means that the person may or may not choose to consent to them."

I hope the cop gets in some serious trouble for being such a [censored].

I also love how the cop gives a NON standard test....

Finding out that a cop is a jerk is almost as shocking as finding out that Joe Morgan doesn't know [censored] about baseball.

Here is a more complete video. It gets even more ridiculous. By the end, the cop seems like the one who should be taking the test.
