Villian is 79/22/1.3/68... Whats your best action here? Against a solid player I think its a clear fold, but this is quite a whale here. Anyone Pot this flop?

kmar1085 - It's a straight odds problem.
Costs you one third of the pot to call so that you're getting 3 to 1 direct pot odds. Odds against you making your draw are 3.4 to 1. Looks to me as though Villain is pricing the cost to you so that the odds are slightly against you, in case you are drawing for the board to pair. And possibly Villain is consciously doing that, planning to fold if the board pairs. If so, you have no implied pot odds and thus the odds are slightly not in your favor. If so, Villain is a clever, calculating opponent, hoping that you will possibly getting paid off when the board pairs plan on getting implied pot odds (which will not be forthcoming) and make the odds mistake of calling. Now the question is, "Is Villain that clever?" I don't have the answer. Since I don't know, I think Hero should fold here, having the odds slightly against him. In a limit game, Villain should have to pay you off if the board paired (because you could be chasing with a non-nut flush). But if this Villain is playing you with the nut flush and correctly putting you on cards, you're in trouble. Fold. Buzz |

I would never fold there.
Your opponent could have: a str8 which you are freerolling against and you could make fold, a flush and is giving you fine odds cuz he's not folding when the board pairs on the river or will give you a free showdown on the river, a lower set which you have crushed, a better straight same as flush. |
