PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
Now against a decent player this is an easy fold. But vs. an aggressive player (who can have almost anything, i.e. this person), can i call here? I'm getting at least 2:1, and am 54% vs. a random hand. The other guy, cros, is a moron as well and can have a wide range.

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
If he does this all the time, you can wait for a better spot. If he doesn't do it all the time, then you should still fold, since he has something (and all he needs in order for you to be behind is a pair, I think).

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
I'm 52% against a pair of queens without a better low draw, and I only only need 33% equity if crosby folds (2:1 odds)
crap i just realized i showed the results, can someone delete them? |

Let me get this straight. You fold the nuts on the flop, but you bet your naked low draw and then call allin with it.
I beggeth wintermute to return and slap you with sarcastic comments. I will only say, Well played sir, well played... |

And I did not flop the nuts in that hand. I flopped the nuts for high only. |

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
Against passive and predictable players I don't mind your flop bet. But against tricky players it could be better to take the free card hoping that your hand improve.
As played I would call the re-raise. A gutshot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw for high together with a counterfeit protected nut low draw should make this a +ev call. |

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
i am kinda new to this game, but from what i've noticed people seem to play this much more passivly then holdem and other forms of poker. From where i sit you did nothing wrong and exactly what i would have done..
You raised pre with a more then decent hand, you hit a flop which was decent, not amazing but decent, so u went to to "C" bet a flop as a semi bluff, surly there must be some fold equity in doing that as well, then unfortunatly someone shoved, and by the time they did that you were overcommitied with no choice but to call |

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
So yeah, what i forgot to ask was, isnt this an ok stratigy, raising with hands like A-2s and a wheel card... hitting something like a low flop, with some other draws like gut shot, back door flushes. and then betting decently to try and take the pot down here and if that doesnt work having back up outs?? Becuase when i play Nl holdem, after raising pre, i would almost always C bet especially on a semi decent flop

Re: PL100, can I call this? vs. maniac/moron
well, yes this flop is an easy bet, and i think with the odds i'm getting my flop call is fine also. as you can see, this guy is a moron. he c/r'd with nothing but top pair, essentially. absolute suicide.
