Default $100/nl Check/fold turn?

Villian is 10/2/.8 over a large sample. I felt sick betting that turn.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $100.00
BB: $83.25
UTG: $33.85
UTG+1: $83.45
MP1: $57.90
MP2: $55.15
MP3: $54.95
Hero (CO): $126.00
BTN: $98.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (9 Players)
2 folds, MP1 calls $1.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5.00, BTN calls $5.00, 2 folds, MP1 calls $4.00

Flop: ($16.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $8.00, BTN calls $8.00, MP1 folds

Turn: ($32.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $20.00, BTN raises to $40.00, Hero??

You have to bet the turn. You can not check and let him draw for free. I like the size of your turn as well. You have to call the turn raise and see what river brings.

You can not fold to a min raise with this hand. But no way you can reriase cause your never getting called by a wrose hand.

I am truthfully asking, do you really think 10/2/.8 is drawing here?

I disagree. There are only 2 cards in the deck (Kc and Qc) with which he might be drawing to a higher flush if and only if he doesn't already have a flush with KcQc or KcXc etc. The board is also paired, meaning that he might already have a full house vs our trip aces. He might also have trip aces with a lower (or higher) kicker.

I think c/c on the turn then either c/c or b/f is a fine line that keeps the pot smaller, lets worse hands bet/bluff, and pays off better hands less.

As played, call the turn min-raise and see what the river brings. It's too small of a raise relative to the pot to fold.

I really don't know about calling the turn. What hand is calling this hand on a draw other than KQs.

If this guy's range is KQs/AK/AQ/and sets then you are still in RIO land with like 5 weighted outs.

Call turn and fold unimproved on river. You have the implied odds (and near direct odds)to do so and are ahead here never. I also fold on a club river because he doesn't have a flush here.

Also when he calls the flop what do you think he has? Which leads to the next question against this range is it smart to bet this turn? I think turn is a clear check.
