all africa tournament - K 10 huge overbet shove on dry flop.
8-handed at final table of all africa poker tournament.
BB has 230k before hand - typical nit. I have 350k before hand - I got tight image, only showed AA down so far at final table. BB has played with me from final 3 tables and i've been playing TAG-ish. final table made of of a couple of short stacks, one huge stack (500k) (folded UTG) and the rest around average (300-350k). Payout is top heavy with just less than half of the pool going to 1st. All of us are in the money, with very small jumps between 10th (R90 000)and 4th (R190 000). 1st pays R1 000 000, 2nd R400 000, 3rd R240 000. R7=$1 (approx) blinds 8k/16k (3k ante) i get K 10 offsuit in UTG+2. i raise to 45k, folds to BB who calls flop 346r BB checks I *GULP* push all in thoughts.... |

Looks good. You are pushing 185K into a 122K pot. You probably have outs if called. What else are you going to do?

agree with betgo. Though I probably open to like 40k pre since its live and people fold way too much and dont resteal but thats just nit picky. Sucks if he is a supernit that flats here with JJ looking for a safe flop, but you probably have 6 outs when called.

What else are you going to do? [/ QUOTE ] i thought of two other possibilities: 1. check/fold a non King/ten turn and river. (i don't like this line at all) 2. C-bet flop for 60-70k and shut down completely when called/CR'd unless i pair up on turn or river. any other options? |
