Re: NL 25 AKs..what does this guy have?
Um... I'd guess TP?K, flush draw or worse a lot of the time
Raise that [censored] up This is a bit read dependent though, had he done this before, how had you seen him bet strong hands etc |

Re: NL 25 AKs..what does this guy have?
I don't know what he has based on this action so far, but if it's a set of 3s or 7s, I'd make a note to not play against them.
There's a lot of hands that would bet here... weaker Ks, flush draws, sets... you pretty much have to put a raise in here, I think. Calling is bad unless they're a habitual bluffer, which it looks like they could be based on their stats. |

Re: NL 25 AKs..what does this guy have?
what would you suggest for the bet sizing on the raise? won't any significant raise commit me to the pot and blow off all hands that i beat?

Re: NL 25 AKs..what does this guy have?
Yes, and no
From his stats I don't think he's getting away from KQ etc Personally I'd be quite happy to get it in for value against you average 45/5/5 Edit: Like I said though, it is kind of read-dependent. You sound like you were a bit worried that he was strong on the flop |

Re: NL 25 AKs..what does this guy have?
I wasn't seeing monsters just wondering what the best way to maximize value is...I decided to flat call the flop and reevaluate turn.
EDIT: I flat called to let KQ, KJ etc. fire again on the turn thinking their hand was good..I wasn't super worried about the flush draw as I didn't feel he would overbet lead with it.. Here is what transpired.. Flop: ($2.10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50 Turn: ($9.10) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $11.50, |

KQ, KJ, KT are all calling your raise (they amy even push). Flush draws might call, and at least you're making them pay. I'd probably raise close to the pot... then again, I'm really just not folding this hand against a player with those stats. |

Overbet donk on a flop like this is usually air, imo.
