Is this a spot to bet/fold the river against a 78/30/0.6 villain?

Re: Bet/fold on the river
anyone like a flop call, planning on raising a safe turn?
button isn't going to have many hands we want to push out here but he can make some incorrect peels with backdoor draws or PPs |

I'd call the river. [/ QUOTE ] you will not be ahead here 1-10 times. it's over you beat 2 aces, and that's about it. all gutshot + pair draws got there on the river. I think this is a pretty easy river fold, and I never fold. |

Re: Bet/fold on the river
I like a flop call, planning to raise the turn on any card.
A flop call might invite the Button to peel with something like KHQX or other weak holdings. The hard thing is assessing what a safe card is, which is why I like raising no matter what falls on the turn. If you get 3 bet, then you can safely fold (If the SB is a known LAG, then you should call down in that instance). On this particular river, I think you should call down. Some players will take shots on a board like this. Also, a typical player will usually bet out his straight on a board like this, fearing you'll just check it down. |

Re: Bet/fold on the river
villain is getting a damn good price to bluff this, or to fold out a better hand. we're getting huge odds here... we really ought to know for sure that this guy doesn't [censored] around in this spot in order for us to fold this.
if we have no read here because we haven't been paying attention or because we haven't gotten a chance to, i suggest we call to see what he has (in order to start getting reads) and because calling here this time blind is hardly a mistake in limit. it's only a measurable mistake when you start calling here all the time in this spot vs this opponent knowing he doesn't [censored] around. |
