Should a limit HE player avoid Foxwoods Nov 6 & 7?
I'm going to be in Providence Nov 6 & 7 for business, so will be free in evenings. Thought I would head over to FW, but realized that those dates coincide with World Poker Finals ($10k tourney) Act III qualifying and Day IA of the event. Does this mean that I, a low to mid-stakes limit HE player, should avoid heading over there.
My concerns: 1. It will be a big mess with long wait times because of the tournament. 2. Since this is a no-limit event, they will not be spreading much low to mid-stakes limit. What do you Foxwoods regulars and irregulars think? Thanks, Mr. C |

Deleted my 1st response as I just noticed you will going in the evening. I would think the wait times would be long. Usually the earlier the better when it is tournament time or weekends.
Cheer up though Mohegan opens their room in Spring '08. |

Re: Should a limit HE player avoid Foxwoods Nov 6 & 7?
They will be spreading plenty of limit hold em games at this time. Also this is toward the end of the 3 weeks of tourneys and a lot of people who were only playing the smaller events will have already left. I am not saying it won't be busy, but you will definitely be able to get seated in 4-8 to 20/40 in a reasonable amount of time. My guess is 1 hr wait max.

They will have mid stakes games and they will be inhabited by nl tourney players. Last Nov it felt like printing money.

Thanks, this is promising. Anyone else with FW experience during these big NL tourneys have any opinions on the quality (or lack thereof) of the limit games at that time.
