A live hand.
15-30 at the park.
Table is full of loose passive players (think .50/1.00 online) One EP limper, I limp in the Hijack with KJoff, button calls SB completes, and the BB checks. Flop T92 rainbow. SB checks, BB bets, limper calls, I raise, button folds, SB and BB call, limper folds. turn, Q, check, check, bet, call, call. River 9 Check, bet, fold, raise. Your action? |

Re: A live hand.
I'm still trying to figure out why you chose the worst of the three options for your preflop play.

Re: A live hand.
He didn't fold pre-flop! I could go either way on raise vs call depending on who is in the button or blinds and if the button is telgraphing anything to me.
I think the river is a call. With so many broadways out I would respect the chance of a boat, love the over-call and I think this is trips too often to fold. |

Re: A live hand.
c/r on the river from this type of opponent is usually a boat. Sometimes he is overplaying a nine. Just call. Also raise preflop.

oops, It went check, check, I bet, SB folds, the BB raises. [/ QUOTE ] i think you're getting check/raised on the turn if BB has T9, so i think you can 3bet the river. that said, you probably have to fold it a 4ball, which is tough to do. |

[/ QUOTE ] That was exactly my plan. I don't know if I've ever threebet the river and folded to a raise, but when I threebet, I was thinking that I couldn't get reraised by anything less than a full house. |

Re: A live hand.
I usually get my head handed back to me in this type of game, but I am calling here. This is the worst type of game for me to sit in so my thoughts are of course skewed.
1. The game is passive and you don't want to turn the table. 2. A set or smaller straight is going to pay you off. Worst case you are facing a boat and you pay them off - which it looks like it could be on the river betting if I follow it correctly. 3. It's a nice time to sit back and relax. If two of the three are yes, then sit back and go with the flow, just don't get too comfortable because the next player is likely to be a raging LAG, and you need to be ready. |

Re: A live hand.
Bob I assume the river action is check, check, bet, fold cr?
Just call. Prob two pair that filled up, but could be a spazzy J9. |
