Does anyone call here?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com
BB (t10638) UTG (t6008) MP1 (t20418) MP2 (t44385) Hero (t17732) Button (t10756) SB (t5085) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises to t1725, Button raises to t10756, 2 folds, Hero folds. Final Pot: t12731 I really feel like he could be on a steal here, but I could also see him turning over AK. Would anyone advocate calling here? |

Re: Does anyone call here?
Not unless he was suuuuuuuuperrrrrrrrrr lag. Like doing this with any pair, any ace, most kings, some queens, and some other random cards, and I was getting like 2:1. I dunno, I hate playing that big of a pot, for that many of my chips with an AJ, even suited.

Re: Does anyone call here?
You are good against 88+/KQ. If you feel he is capable of a pure steal then call.

Re: Does anyone call here?
needless to say he went on to shove my next 2 raises...on the second raise I decided to call with 66 only to run into his QQ. Looking back on it knowing the type of player he is now, I think I should have called with the AJ.

Re: Does anyone call here?
When you raise in late position you should've always have a plan in mind before you decide to raise how you're going to respond to a re-raise from any remaining players left to act.
In your situation, I'm raising here w/ the intention of calling a push from anyone of the remaining players because two of them (button and BB) have perfect stacks for restealing and can be pushing wide, and if the SB pushes I'm obv calling because he's so short. |

Buy-in? Any reads? I think its a call but I dont think a fold is awful.

Re: Does anyone call here?
Not knowing that much about the player, I don't think you can call a re raise all-in. There aren't many hands which you will be good against. If you have previously seen him pushing a lot, I guess you need to make a stand.

Re: Does anyone call here?
I wouldn't mind calling against any pocket pairs lower than jacks...I was somewhat ready to gamble at this point to put myself in a really good position to abuse the bubble. There were about 25 players left at the time...I felt like more often then not he could turn over AQ or AK, but looking back on it I think I should've called.
