Barclays?
If posted elsewhere, sorry. Anyone else from the NY/NJ/Conn area planning on attending the Barclays? We just purchased tix online at a halfway decent price and think it'll be a pretty enjoyable time. Anyone from that area know good, reasonably priced places to stay? Food? All info appreciated.

Re: Barclays?
Beat: No Tiger
He claims he's worn out from the Oklahoma heat. Probably also wants to spend time with his family. |

Re: Barclays?
I just read this and commented on it on ESPN.com. Sucks. I personally don't mind a ton, b/c I follow golf closely and would like to watch other players, but this is pretty bad for my fiance. Not shockingly she knows next to no one other than TW.
The man has the right to make the best business decisions possible for himself, but on the same token the PGA Tour's touting of the Fedex Cup just lost a ton of credibility. |

Re: Barclays?
Well if the PGA Tour wasn't retarded they would've made sure the "playoffs" started two weeks after the PGA. Pretty simple stuff and I can't believe they did it this way.

Re: Barclays?
Prediction: Tiger wins this thing anyway and skips the first 2 events next year. With the points lead he has it's not really like he needs to play all 3 events before the Tour Champ.

Re: Barclays?
Guys, the points system is altered into a seeding system prior to the start of Event 1 of the 4. Woods will not have the 11000 or whatever point lead. As a matter of fact, it is very likely that the Barclays winner will move into the overall lead, or very close to it.

Re: Barclays?
the thing you do have to remember about tiger is that it isn't like he finishes 40th when he plays bad, he finishes like 5th......
this is why he completely rapes money list, point systems, and everything else.......because he piles top 5s up during his "bad" weeks. He can probably play his B game for the final 3 tournaments and be very very close to the top of the list. |
