Default slingbox

I'm going off to college in Chicago but I still want to be able to watch my hometown's sports games so I figured Slingbox would be a good answer. Does anyone have any experience with it?

I use it for exactly that and it's awesome, well worth the price. You should definitely get it, not much else I can say.

you can watch TV but the channels will be the same. So if either of you changes the channel the other one does too.

Do you watch on your computer? I was hoping to output from my laptop to a TV. What's the resolution like?

resolution depends on your home and road internet connections. You're gonna need good (solid cable or better) to watch it on a larger TV.

There was a thread on this a month or two ago, do a search. In the end, it's great, but know if you're sharing with family who own the tv/cable, you're watching whatever they see and vice versa.
