+/- EV of this call?
I've been going at it heads up with this guy for a while, and it recently became 3 handed. I've got him at 29/22 (6 handed) over a decent sample. I would categorize him as bad SLAG, and we've been more or less going to war.
I think I beat his range here, and although its high variance, I like the call. A friend of mine disagreed. Thoughts? Re: +/- EV of this call?
I kinda forgot to mention that this guy hasn't folded once to any of my pf 3 bets. FD, smaller ace, or 77ish hand and AA once a year.
Honestly, what's this guy push here like this that has me crushed? Also, I feel that a fd or ace high makes up a very significant percentage of his range. |

Re: +/- EV of this call?
Obviously there will be some hands you beat (namely, flush draws, but it's not inconcievable for him to push weaker unpaired aces or KQo,) but as a whole you are usually crushed here and those drawy type hands of his have a ton of equity.
I would fold but don't know the exact math on it. |

Re: +/- EV of this call?
There's just no way you beat his range. In fact, I don't think there's a single hand IN his range that you beat here. You mentioned he calls your 3bets light; do you really think he's calling them with worse Aces? You realize that the only aces you are ahead of are *non-flush draw* A-9, A-8 and A-7 (and you're just slightly ahead of A-6) right?
If he has a flush draw without either of your cards, he has 15 outs twice, which is the best hand. If he has a flush draw and he's dominated by one of your cards (like JTss), he has 12 outs twice, which is about 50-50 with your hand. If he has a combo straight/flush draw, or ANY pair (wired or flopped), AK, AQ, AJ, he's either got your dead to a few outs or he's significantly ahead of you. Basically, you have to hope he is on a non-flush draw A7, A8, or A9 to be ahead. You get neutral EV against DOMINATED flush draws: A9ss, KTss, QTss, JTss, or T9ss. Everything else (even 98ss) beats you or crushes you. |

Re: +/- EV of this call?
He doesnt have to "beat" his range, just needs 38% equity, guess pokerstoving it is out of the question with such a big range..
