The night is winding down in the $1/2 semi-underground/semi-casino game. We're playing 4 handed. I'm in seat 1, seat 2 is good 2+2er, although he's very short stacked and either not on his game or tilting tonight. Seat 3 is a live wire young military guy, seat 4 is a so-so player, and regular dealer for the game. We're all kind of gunning for seat 3's stack. Finally on what would be his BB, he announces he is done. He wants to take his $410 and go home.
We plead with him to stay, and seat 4 tosses offers to pay seat 3's BB. So, seat 3 sits down. I'm on button, and tell him I'm raising just enough that if he calls, he'll have $399. Well, he calls, I flop 2 pair against his top pair. he loses $100 to me. I gave seat 3 his $2 back. Took about 20 minutes, but he lost the other $300 to the other two guys. He said he should have known better. |

I was playing with friends and a higher up from my office. He was going to leave at 12:20 with his $70 (.25/.50 game). We begged him to stay 10 more minutes, and he agreed. I took his stack the next hand. LOL. I actually felt bad about it, but he said he should have known better. He probably makes 10x what I do, so I didn't feel too bad
