Doesn't seem to creative in general... Plan was to cr all in on the turn, thoughts on that? thoughts on river blocking bet? |

Planning to C/R isn't such a bad idea....except what leads you to believe he will bet the turn?. He's just seen you raise his flop bet. Too risky given the flop. Just bet it out.
Also your flop raise isn't big enough IMO. Let's say he was CBing but has a flush draw or straight draw. He's calling 2.50 to win 7.15 which is nearly 3:1. You'll probably bet or call the deficit giving him the implied odds he needs. |

thanks, looking at it now the turn check seems really awful.
thoughts on the river blocking bet? I know it looks donkish, but do you think it usually works against a typical 25 NL donk? |

i dislike the cr on the flop almost as much as the check on the turn. why are we check/raising the pfr with an underpair oop on a draw heavy board versus a donk?
edit: i guess maybe its not so bad, but it just seems really awkward against a bad player. |

You have to bet the turn. you'll be sick on the river if villian outdraws you.

Ugh, against a donk then don't like raising at all seeing as he will not fold a ten or nine, suppose he will calls with crappy draws but still prefer a call over a raise. But oh my god bet that turn plz, checking is really bad there and your lack of betting on the turn results in a free river which is absolutely horrific so naturally now is the best time to bet when your much more likely to behind. The bet size is problematic as it is asking to be raised so your inducing a shove but really don't want him to do that as it's very hard to call but then again I just don't like blocking bets in general I must say. |
