small stakes hold \'em....still accurate?
I got recommended Small Stakes Hold 'Em about a year ago and I've read it 3 times and have found it very useful and interesting. I was browsing poker sites to see where to play and I noticed that the small stakes games ( i.e $1/2, $2/4 and $3/6 ) seemed to only have about 30% players on the flop which seems much tighter than what SSHE suggests, so I just wanted to ask how accurate the book still is, as a lot of it is based on many players seeing the flop? Thanks.

Still holds true for live. Haven't played fullring online in awhile, but you will still encounter opponents who match the description, these are the ones you should be scouting. On the whole the table will be tighter.

try .10/.20 games online if you want SSSH to apply...
games have changed a lot in a few years |

Re: small stakes hold \'em....still accurate?
Online, for $2/4 and up it doesn't really apply any more, except maybe in weekends. Flop percentages are typically between 15% and 25% in my games. Middle limit books apply more nowadays, such as HEPFAP or, surprisingly, 'middle limit hold'em'. (although these books advocate a slightly weak-tight style of play; games have gotten tighter and more aggressive.)

I think SSSH is nowadays covered in every viable bot-program, so the ambitious player should make more human moves...

I knew I didn't buy Ken Warren's book for nothing and that it would be back in vogue one day...

Re: small stakes hold \'em....still accurate?
Since people are mentioning other books, ITH is probably the most applicable.
