July 2007 - Low Content thread
1-2 no limit, big three way pot on the river. Board is 5678x, four to the straight flush on the board. Player A bets 30, B raises to $90, C coldcalls, comes back to A, who thinks, then just calls. All have plenty of chips left.
The hands are shown and A has the 9h for the nuts. Player next to him asks "why didn't you reraise, you had the nuts?" A replies "it's called control, sir." Priceless. I'll be chuckling for days over that one. Al

Playing 8/16 at Wynn in June, I raise with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] , flop is all clubs, I lead out, old man calls.
Turn is a club, before I lead out, he tells me to save the bets, as he has a str8 flush. At first I thought that maybe Wynn had introduced a jackpot, but nope, he was just a kind old man who wanted to save me my bets so he could 'show' that he had the str8 flush.

Utg leads river, 2 people call. "Hero" is last to act with the nut flush no pair on board. He...calls. I ask him wtf he was doing, and he explains "the pot was big enough. The other guy bet for me. I didn't need to bet..." HEAD ASPLODE
