Default Zeppelin fans: would you go to a Zep reunion concert?

There was some report a month or so ago that they would reform for a memorial concert for Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records who died in December '06 (one of their few reunited permances was May 1988 at Atlantic Records 40th anniversary concert). The rumor said if all went well, there would be an '08 tour, with the 3 surviving members plus Jason Bonham (John's son) on drums. Plant shot the rumor down though.

However, if theoretically there was a 2008 tour, with them being billed as Led Zeppelin, their first tour in 28 years, how interested would you be?

Personally I would do anything I could to get tickets, even though I know there's a decent chance it could suck. Who knows if it will ever happen, but it would be pretty historic if it did. I think they could still draw pretty good crowds. I probably would have tried to go to the Page/Plant stuff in the mid 90s but I wasn't a Zep fan then.

At least if this doesn't happen there's a new DVD coming out in November with some unreleased stuff.

I'm high, I had to read that post like 5 times before I understood it.

I pretty much agree though. I think Page can still play but you need Plant to be the old Plant for it to be any good and most 59 year olds can't sing like they used to. I'd still want to be there though.

I'd definitely go, I saw Plant and Page about 11 or 12 yrs ago and they were amazing. One of the best shows I've ever seen. They might not be as good, but if they're anywhere close to the ballpark, I'd love it.

That's a long time ago. I have no idea what Plant's been doing the past decade, but I have a feeling it hasn't been working on his vocals. I have a feeling it would completely suck. But I would still go.

Plant's actually been quite active in the past decade.

I saw them at their peak, but would definitely go again if it was Plant/Page.

I saw them around then too. I don't know about amazing, but they were really good. I'd certainly see them if I hadn't before.

Will John Paul Jones be playing?

Seems like they've treated him pretty badly.

Saw Page with The Firm, couple of Plant solo tours, both of the Page/Plant tours in 90's. Saw Jason Bonham's band.

Would go to reunion tour concert, even if it sucked donkey.

Let's put it this way:

They are my favorite band, and were disbanded within a year of my birth. Most people have seen their favorite band in concert. Again, I have not.

This means I would pay a large amount of money to see them. I would go alone if I had to.
