With no reads, villian is holding JJ/QQ here a lot, so I fold.
Also, with no reads, I tend to just call pre-flop. If it comes rags and he leads, I call and evaluate turn (if he checks turn, I might check behind and call reasonable river bet, or I might lead for 1/2 pot). I probably opt for betting out on turn if he checks to begin creating my aggressive image. If the flop comes with J or higher I just fold to the c-bet. If the checks, I will lead and fold to a raise. Once I get some notes/reads on the player, I will play the hand differently according to my notes. I guess the key here is I'm going to play cautious without reads. I don't know if I can float him yet so no point in trying to float. I may be folding the best hand, but I'm ok with that readless in a situation where I'm WA/WB in a RIO situation. |
