$3.30 stars tourney, lowstacked ITM with AK
Hi again. Earlier today I played in the 3.30 tourney and was doing ok, after some dry flops, ante and high blinds i was down to about half average. I was in the money so the game had kind of loosened up a bit(even more loose than it was before :P )
I was sitting in MP(t5000) with AKo and UTG(t18000) raised to 800 with 200/400 50 ante blinds. UTG+1(t12000) calls and I shove with AK. The table folds and UTG instacalls and UTG+1 folds. UTG shows up 33 and of course I lose to yet another dry flop. The questions are: - Did he call because he thought it was a squeeze, or did he just donk out? - Did I do the right thing ? I guess my image was pretty tight as I only played on hand in 40 min, getting it all-in with QQ on a T-4-5 flop against a superloose player. |

UTG had good odds to call against even a tight range. I'm surprised UTG+1 folded.
You just didn't get the board cards you needed to more than double up. Nothing strange here, just normal MTT poker. |

- Did he call because he thought it was a squeeze, or did he just donk out? [/ QUOTE ] Who knows without any reads? Was he a solid player? Your M is around 4 you have to shove this, no matter what. [ QUOTE ] - Did I do the right thing ? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, you did. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, they might see you as a tight player but UTG will call you anyway because of your small stack. I think you got your money in very good, wp. |
