From the perspective of moving from limit to NL, blind defense is a much less important part of the game. There's just so much less money in the blinds compared to later streets.

This will obviously depend on the game you are in, as it becomes more important against regulars and in bigger games, but while learning there's really no need to ever defend your blinds. Just play your premiums, a fold to steal of 80+% is OK, especially while you're getting your footing.

3-bet the strongest, fold everything else. Seriously, just fold and play future hands in position. Your RIO is through the roof being OoP in NL.

Call the same hands on the BB as you would call on the SB in limit games and vs. true steals add (additionally to XT and X9 unsuited) A2s, K2s, Q6s, J7s, 75s, 54s that could basically call at limit games too but as the BB will enter too often then, it won't do. You are getting about 2 to 1 on your call and you are the first to bluff and semi-bluff the flops and turns and can check-raise, something the person on the position can't do. You should additinally re-steal a fair amount of the time (but not so often that they will adjust too much and not vs. players who won't fold to it often enough) with hands that you would just about fold otherwise. The rocks fold the BB far too often, leaking out blind money hand after hand that adds to an enormous amount of money in the long run, likely all the money they could make in that game they lose just like that.
