Re: WSOP 2K Event
I agree with the turn check and to fold to the raise as played.
In fact, does anyone else just fold the flop ever? |

Re: WSOP 2K Event
My reads on the flop was that EP player was taking a shot with a weak K, he just didn't seem that confident, and CO made an easy call preflop and on flop so I put him on a decent flush draw, posibly nutflush draw or maybe a combo flush/gut. I felt that an OE straight/flush draw would have thought just a little longer.
CO was also the type to protect a made hand on a dangerous board so with 4 other players still in the hand, I definately had him on a draw. The turn seemed to confirm this so I valuebet against the the EP and charged the CO. |

Re: WSOP 2K Event
ok, it's clear that the forum is against me on this one. I still believe I played it right and I'm fine with the fact that I don't see anyone agreeing. Much of it is read dependant witch doesn't go over well in these forums.
My live play will differ greatly from online play when I feel I can trust my reads. With the board Ks, 6c, 5s, 3c I looked at the chance OP had the 7,4 or 4,2. He was playing tight and didn't seem to be the type to limp low gappers, even suited, as 2nd limper over an EP limp in the CO without more limpers. If he had 7s,4s, I think he would have taken a little more time on the flop. 7d,4d or 7h,4h, I believed that he would have led the turn with me and posibly the EP player representing draws and 2 flush draws on board. 7c,4c did worry me a little but as I said before I greatly discounted the 7,4 alltogether as part of his original range. All slow played sets, 2 pairs, or better Kings I nearly discounted all together because of the tells and dangerous board with multiple opponents. On the other hand, As,4s or 7c,8c looked entirely consistant with the line he took as well as with all of my live reads including the fact that it was looking like he was trying to make up his mind on his push. Out loud I meantioned that I didn't think he would have let that turn go without leading with a made hand so I thought he had to have a monster draw and finally called. He meantioned that my read was perfect and turned over the As,4s. My hand held up and made me the clear table leader. |

Re: WSOP 2K Event
Oh yeah, and insta fold the shove. Is there anything he can have that we beat? (occasionally I see tight, bad players slow play big pairs like queens here like this and then play them fast after the flop, almost trying to make up for lost ground from before the flop - but I wouldn't count on your opponent having queens or jacks here).
