Default over pessimistic?

My WTSD has been falling this month (maybe too much) as I try to read better and avoid reverse implied odds situations. Against an unknown (who's like 30/12 after like 20 hands and has openlimped a few times), how do you guys play this?

Absolute Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $10/$20
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) Donger is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Donger calls.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6SB, 3 players)
SB checks, Donger checks, Button bets, SB folds, Donger ???.

I fold pf, and c/r the flop, planning on letting it go if shown more aggression.

Never even occurred to me to fold preflop. That seem really tight but I'm willing to listen to an argument for it.

WTF?

What's your fold bb to steal, 65% or something?

Folding medium connected cards to a button open 5 handed is insane. Folding after sb calls and you're getting 5-1 is beyond insane.

I would much rather call hu then after the sb calls. Of course I'd call in both situations though.

HU this is an easy call for me. Once the SB calls, our chances of being dominated are much higher, and we end up in an awkward (losing position) often postflop. All indications point to the opener being passive preflop.

Once we are HU on the flop, our options are c/c fold turn, or c/r b/f out. I dislike c/c c/c c/f here, because I think this kind of player rarely bets a worse hand on the turn, and if he does, he wil usually follow the river.

I think all of the decisions in this hand are pretty close (including preflop).

fwiw, my FBBtS is 46. Low offsuit connectors are terrible multiway, especially out of position.
