He is good enough and in a previous hand recently he CF on a wet enough flop to me. I think he could have air here and expect me to bet the flop, but OP's and FD's make up a large part of his range On the turn as played, is calling or shoving better? call shove on blank river? Club river? |

Re: Set vs wierd line from PFR
I'd just call the turn bet and get it in on a non club river.
However, I would reraise the flop. You said yourself that FDs are a large part of his range so why not commit him now? |

Re: Set vs wierd line from PFR
i would just jack it up on the flop. as played, on the turn I would just call since he would be scared by the flush if he has an BPP. I call a non-club river and vbet if checked to.

Re: Set vs wierd line from PFR
well vs a range of air, fd's and ops I think its better to wait for a bet from air on the turn, considering a club only hits 20% of the time or something?
IDK, I dont think it makes much of a difference - I can certainly see shoving flop |

Re: Set vs wierd line from PFR
I prefer the line you took on the flop, but theres not much in it anyway.

[/ QUOTE ] Oh yeah, if he has any tendency of making multistreet bluffs then I can see just calling. A lot of times we might play a jack or even QQ like this and then decide we are behind on the turn and fold. |

Re: Set vs wierd line from PFR
ugly turn huh. I think in general it is best to reraise flop to get it in with overpairs and fold out draws that have now put in more money but don't get to see anymore cards.
Against someone i play against a lot I will always just call the flop checkraise to help protect myself in situations where I want to take a card off and see what he does. |
