The most mentally challenging poker night of my life... entertaining.
So I had about 1K on bodog because I won a 6K guarantee...I absolutely hate the software, hate playing there, and wanted to withdraw...but I'm not waiting 30 [censored]ing days to get a check for 1k, obviously. Thus, I figured tonight I would reach a few thousand, enough to warrant waiting 30 days for a check, or simply go broke, which obviously would disable me from going through the pain of waiting 30 days for a check.
So... I started off by putting 300 on some korean against roddick playing in the quarterfinals of a tennis match...it paid 5.8-1, so 300 to win `1750...close match...but thank you sir, down $300. $730 roughly left...here it goes *buyin to a 200 6 man sit n go... *buyin to a 1K max game with $500... both at the same time First hand in the 1K max... (finding a hand and posting it from bodog is like trying to find Joe Hachem not mentioning he's "always in with the best" after a beat...it's not gonna happen. so, first hand. Me: AK seat 2: probably KK, QQ or maybe A-rag seat 5: AQ seat 2 makes it 40 to go seat 5: calls me: call (should I have re raised? why yes, thanks for pointing that out...) Flop: A 8 2 seat 2: 75 seat 3: call me: push, all in (at this point I'm sitting with about 380 if i just call, figured I would shove and pick it up there...or maybe be called by a weak A... Seat 2: think, thinks thinks...probably plays a couple hands of blackjack while thinking, because after all, this is bodog...Folds seat 5: INSTANT call, no thinking...Thank you sir, shows AQ turn: A river: 8 riiiiight, good call sir. split it up...ok, up to 600...but should be at 1.3K, about 1.7K from being able to withdraw a check...because I will wait 30 days for a 3K check...sounds reasonable. anyway, 3 hands later, my 10 10 runs into AK, coinflip...i only win coinflips 48.65458 percent of the time...he flops an A. So, i'm broke, but in the 200 6 man sit n go... i win that, thank you, back up to $850 Rinse lather and REPEAT, this time I plop $600 down into the same 1K max... and enter another 200 6 man sit n go floating around 600 in the cash game for the entire time the sit n go is going on... win the 6 man sit n go...thank you, up to about $1450 literally 20 seconds after I win that sit n go... (I did find the hand history for this hand, becuase it was THAT bad and I need to remind myself how bad it could be no matter how many 2 outers I lose to in my poker career...) I can honestly say I would have rather flipped burgers at Macdonald's while paying THEM minimum wage then break even in this way playing poker, during the same time frame. End of my story, end of my night. |
